In many ways RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group has changed the way real estate brokerage is done here in Orange County, New York. RE/MAX Benchmark has affiliated with the most successful and most experienced associates in our area giving them the opportunity to be in business for themselves but not by themselves. Our associates average 14 years experience and nearly 14 annual transactions each. That is seven times the Orange County Association of Realtors average. With nearly 700 transactions in 2008 totaling nearly $250 million dollars in sales, RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group has truly become "THE REAL ESTATE LEADERS" in this market. The challenge of the real estate market in 2008 required a recommitment on the part of the real estate sales community; our RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group associates did just that.

Our market presence has grown to market leadership since our formation in late 1991. During 2008 RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group closed its 14,400th real estate transaction since our inception. That’s approaching nearly 15,000 families whose real estate needs were satisfied by our “outstanding agents”. No other real estate company in Orange County even comes close during that period of time.

In 2008, RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group maintained its position as the #1 RE/MAX company in the Lower Hudson Valley District which includes the counties of Orange County, Dutchess, Rockland, Putnam, Westchester, Ulster and Sullivan. RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group was recognized by RE/MAX of N.Y. as one of the leading RE/MAX companies in New York in closed transactions, sales volume, and gross closed commissions for 2008.

Our associates continue to dominate the countywide sales awards, as well as the sales achievement awards given by RE/MAX, both on the state level, and through RE/MAX International, Inc. Virtually every RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group associate was recognized for sales achievement by RE/MAX International in 2008. The Orange County Association of Realtors’ Excellence in Sales Awards in 2008 finds 9 of our associates being recognized for sales achievement, vastly more than any single office or multi-office company. In fact, our 9 award winners represented nearly 25% of all the award winners in Orange County. RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group has for seventeen (17) straight years, had the most honorees every year of our existence.

Virtually every associate contributes a portion of every commission to the Children’s Miracle Network. With nearly $180,000 contributed to date, RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group is annually recognized by RE/MAX International as one of the top RE/MAX companies in the United States in Premier Community Citizenship. RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group in 2008 continued its active participation in the Susan B. Komen “Race for the Cure” joining RE/MAX International in the fight against Breast Cancer. In 2008 Habitat for Humanity continued to be a very important part of RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group community citizenship commitment. With “helping hands” RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group has contributed not only funds to Habitat for Humanity, but our labor as well, “working together to build houses “not for people, but with people” in need of decent affordable housing.” In fact, Dan Clarino, broker –owner of RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group assumed his role as President of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh in 2008 joining several other associates of the company who regularly give of their time to provide “a hand up, not a hand out” to the families in need in the community.
